My classic 500 was not starting, it’s fuel pump was not on. Both self and kick start did not start the engine because FI / fuel pump was not on. There was no “Gurr” sound after turning on the key. There was no priming.
I gave the bullet to mechanic for repairing the starting problem. The local mechanic kept the bullet in his garage for more than 15 days. Then he said, he fixed the issue, the bike started well at the mechanic’s garage. I paid 8000 rupees for servicing / repairing the bullet. Ride the bullet back home.
Next day morning, my bullet was not starting. Fuel pump was not on, no “gurr” sound after turning on the ignition / key.
Then I called the same mechanic and complained the issue. Mechanic came to my home and took(towed) the bullet to his garage again.
My bullet was in the mechanic’s garage for another 15+ days. Then he informed me that, fuel pump parts were changed(new). Now fuel pump issue resolved and bullet started well in Mechanic’s garage. Mechanic charged me 3000 rupees. I rode the bullet back to my home happily with ecstasy and dreams of riding the bullet again. Riding Classic 500 is a different experience.
Next day morning, bullet went off in the middle of my riding to near by street. Bullet did not start again. I was stranded in the middle of the road. Fuel pump did not turn on. Again the same problem. I pushed the bullet to my home.
I rode Pulsar NS160 BS6 for 4 years. The bike did not gave me any show stopper issues or problems. I pierced wind at 80 to 100 KM speed in open highway in Pulsar NS160. My riding joy and experiences with NS160 have become memory now. I don’t know whether I can have such riding experiences once again in my life. Has God closed my biking blessings?
Such a wonderful and pleasant and happy riding experiences I had with Pulsar NS160. It is a far far better bike than Bullet with reliability. It never stranded me in middle of the road.
Now, I am clueless as what to do next. Shall I contact the mechanic again and keep my bullet in the mechanic garage for next 15+ days, and pay what mechanic charges. Shall I try my luck for the 3rd time? Mechanic fixed fuel pump issue twice and twice bullet FI failed again and again. I was stranded in the middle of the road.
I can not sell this(bullet) scrap because it is not in running condition. I can not scrap it because scrappers may reuse/misuse the bullet because there was a demand for bullet in the market. I can not ride it because it was not starting… I can not sell it , I can not scrap it, and the bullet is going to occupy my parking lot.
I don’t have money to buy another bike. I am reluctant to go for another bike, I afraid bad biking curse may continue again with new/next bike.
I prayed God, and have deal with God if bullet returns to normalcy.
