I sold my Pulsar NS160 after 4 years of usage and purchased a 6 years old Dominar 400
I sold Dominar 400 after 10 months of usage.
I am cured from the diseases called “Biking”, “long ride”, “Cruising”, “Highway”, “Stability”, “Weekend Ride”, “80 KM/HR speed”, “100 KM/HR speed”, “120 KM/HR speed”.
Riding pleasure is a mirage, bikers “feel” joy, pleasure, ecstasy while riding. This is sort of belief magic or feeling expectation happening. Brain simulates biking mirages are attained.
Bike is a tool to move from one location to another location, rest are all biking mirages never attained or we “believe”, we are “experiencing” biking mirages. Happiness in bike riding is an illusion, it does not exist. But we feel happy while riding, because we believe bike riding is happy, so our mind simulates happiness while riding or we convince ourselves as bike riding is a pleasure and we “believe”, we have pleasure while riding.
Don’t ride to experience mirages, such experience never exist.
A child is joyful when playing with toys. But an adult or old man is not joyful with the toys. If toys give happiness, then everyone should be joyful when playing with toys. Happiness is nothing to do with toys. While playing with toys, child’s brain releases chemicals related to happiness mood. That’s it. Toy is just a material.
What is the relation among toy, child, happiness? It is the same relationship among bike, rider, happiness. Brain is “patternised” to release happy chemicals while riding bike or playing toys. In reality, bike or toy does not create happiness, but the happiness of rider or child while riding bike or playing toys is true to them. They enjoy truly. It is a sort of “real hallucination”.
I am back to commuter bike.
If you are limiting your speed to 60/70 km/hr in highway, then you can try scooter too. A 110cc or 125cc scooter will be more comfortable, easier, relaxed than motorcycle. Scooters are city friendly, they cope up well in city traffic as well as highway within 70 km/hr speed. I tried my Jupiter 110cc scooter in highway ride. It went smoothly around 65 km/hr speed with stability. Confident inspiring. Less or no fatigue compared to bikes. I realized I wasted money on buying higher CC motorcycles and riding them in 70 km/hr speed. I wasted buying a brand new Pulsar NS160, I wasted buying an old dominar 400, I wasted money buying a old Classic 500, then I wasted money on buying an old Pulsar AS150. Instead of all these bikes, I should have tried out my Jupiter 110cc scooter. I could have avoided all the biking purchases, and motorcycling emotions, motorcycle maintenance expenses. Jupiter scooter cost not more than 1500 rupees for general service as on date (October 2025). The scooter is a gem within 70 km/hr speed. Less maintenance cost, easy to maneuver in city, easy to ride in highway. I am learning from my costly experiences. I don’t have wisdom, I rely an experience for realization. No more bikes/motorcycle in my life henceforth for my riding speed and riding distance(within 150 kms range).
